PENG: The Space Food Exploration Center
Redesign project for the Gateway Foundation's the world's first space hotel – The Von Braun Space Station
The space co-restaurant Peng is a platform that provides learning and tasting opportunities for alien food which can’t be created on earth.
The Peng is a co-restaurant inspired by ripples, and this space-restaurant can be symbolized as soup getting ladled out. When the liquid from the soup drops, the ripples are created naturally from the center. This rippling effect will later be translated into the floor plan. This sensitive state of nature entrusts our hopes, and the rippling energy of the liquid symbolize that the impact of this new space restaurant on the universe will spread progressively.
The Peng, influenced by the "drop" concept, is shown in the bubble dining area, the waterfall reception, the spray library, and lounge area. Each small action required by the ladling of the soup is also translated to designated areas of the restaurant. For example, the bubble dining area is represented by the dripping action of the soup.
The action of the soup ladling is represented as a waterfall, just like a nebula falling into the vast universe. At the same time, it is also inspired by the energy density field of the cosmic galaxy cluster. The Peng will become an energy source for the universe. Foodies and top chefs from all over the world will gather here from across the globe, and we ask everyone who comes to the restaurant to bring their own recipes. Here, the exchange of recipes will be passed onto the future, which will inevitably bring new energy to the restaurant.
Guests will experience that robotic bartenders and drones service to the guests in an unattended environment. The red and blue tones support the outside view hollow of the universe.

Central Garden & Market
Inspired by the energy density field of the cosmic galaxy cluster. It became an energy source for the universe garden.

The dripping action of the soup represents the bubble dining area. Suspending dining areas use magnetic levitation technology.
